Surrounded by nature, mountains and untamed beaches, Cape Town offers some of the world’s most iconic landmarks, breath-taking beauty and endless vineyards bordered by sweet smelling orchards.

DAY ONE
Horseback across the exquisite South African wine country, dramatic Cape mountains and sweet smelling orchards.
Nestled between the foothills of the magnificent Franschhoek Mountains lies Cape Winelands Riding, the starting point for an epic adventure. The route provides experienced riders with fast and exhilarating canters through mountain passes and across open farm tracks. Novice riders can enjoy relaxing vineyard meanders.
DAY TWO
Visit stunning Babylonstoren, one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, adorned with beautiful and diverse fruit and vegetable gardens.
Enjoying a steady pace and some fast canters, the tour traverses through Babylonstoren and on to Niel Joubert Wine Farm, overlooking Paarl Valley in the heart of the Cape Winelands. The tour stops here for a wonderful wine tasting and scrumptious, locally sourced food.

DAY THREE
The toughest riding day of the tour with lots of inclines and declines. Depending on the season, riders may have to dismount for short walks with their horses.
The trail passes through the little village of Klapmuts, situated in the valleys of the Hottentots Holland Mountains. Continuing on to Mitre’s Edge, nestled in the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountain between Paarl and Stellenbosch. Luncheon at Kanonkop Wine Estate where, during the 17th and 18th centuries, a cannon (kanon) was fired to announce the arrival of produce via sailing ships entering Table Bay 50km away.
DAY FOUR
A leisurely ride through vineyards including long canters across vineyard lanes.
Visiting Warwick vineyards, 240 to 360 metres above sea level, the vineyard showcases a mix of classic Bordeaux cultivars, with a touch of South African stalwarts like Pinotage and old vine Chenin Blanc. Later, at Marianne Wine Estate, experience two state of the art boutique wineries and sample fine handcrafted wines influenced by French heritage with a touch of South African vibes.

DAY FIVE
Meandering in and out of the mountains towards Anura Wine Estate, revel in stunning vistas over the vast vineyards framed by towering mountain landscapes.
Known as the very popular 'rollercoaster' ride, the descent from high up in the mountains surely gets the adrenaline pumping. A traditional lunch and beautiful award-winning wine awaits at Anura Wine Estate.
DAY SIX
The final ride after breakfast includes taking in the clean, fresh morning air and bidding farewell to the unique and beautiful Cape Winelands terrain.
After arriving back at the farm and saying farewell to the faithful horses, guests prepare to head towards the many more adventures beckoning in nearby Cape Town.
