Deirdre Naidoo

The definition of passion is a strong or barely controllable emotion. It’s not every day that you get to do what you love and that is how I feel about event planning. I’m not just doing a job, I’m living my passion, and this permeates in all facets of my life.

Harnessing my talents has molded me into who I am today and has made me a better person for it. I’ve crossed paths with many interesting people from the industry over the years, who have impacted my life in so many ways. The learning never stops, the sense of pride one feels when a project you’ve worked on for months comes to fruition.

The impending emotion that builds up when you slowly start to reap the fruit of your labour. I started my career in the events industry in 2002, firstly in the hotel industry whereby I worked at various establishments, followed by an event and marketing agency and on to corporate. There has never been a day whereby I’ve questioned my chosen path. I take the good with the bad, it may not all be smooth sailing, but this builds character, tenacity, and resilience. In the end the journey is totally worth it, I’m grateful for the opportunity to do what I love.

This is indeed #mypassion #mypurpose
