THE GREAT LAKES RIDE
Enjoy a brisk canter down old farm roads and bush paths through the Mozambican countryside.
The prolific birdlife includes eagles, herons, harriers, rollers, pelicans and kingfishers. The trail includes small villages, rural schools and ruins of old Portuguese homesteads. Return along a wide open desolate beach laced with a diverse mangrove shoreline.
THE BENGUERRA ISLAND RIDE
Be whisked by a motorised dhow to the world famous Benguerra Island where time stands still. Famous for its unspoiled white beaches, dive sites, luxury resorts, horseback riding and fishing.
Unique smells, scenery, fauna and flora, adorn the trail as it passes through tiny villages towards mighty golden sand dunes and freshwater lakes littered with flocks of flamingoes. Snorkel on nearby Magaruque Island where a simple and delicious seafood lunch is served shoreside under a shady tree.
MANAGLISE FISHING VILLAGE
Tour the Managlise Fishing Village. An authentic, rich cultural experience which brings much appreciated business to a locality well off the beaten track.
Trot through mangrove trees past the panoramic views at the ‘Finger Print of God’. The trail winds through coconut plantations towards the Managlise Fishing Village. Here a traditional lunch is served, including fresh crab from the local shoreline and grilled fish from the mornings catch.
THE RED DUNE RIDE
The views are difficult to describe with any measure of justice, however, be sure they will take your breath away!
Ascend the summit of the red bank in a powerful canter. From the top of the dune, revel in panoramic views, a palette of bright blue hues stretching over the peeping sandbars toward the islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago.
THE OCEAN SWIM RIDE
Mount your horse bareback on the beach and wade chest deep into the blue turquoise seas for an incredible ocean walk along the shoreline.
Later, travel to the Govuro River for an afternoon of canoeing along a picture-perfect waterway and lush riverine teeming with native fish and magical birdlife.
